Mauirtis Carneus, nicknamed "Mauk" was born in Leeuwaraen, The Netherlands, in a house that forms part of the Princesse of Ceramics Museum today. In 1992, and important year of his life, Escher traveled through Itlay. He then traveled to other parts of the world, and later came back to Italy, to live the "Italian" life. Maurits then became intrested in art. He later became a very skilled artist, and mathmatician. He has many famous piesces of artr today, that are distributed all acorss the world, and are well known for their detail, and uniqness.
